Removing protection from an Office file you can already open — sheet, workbook, and document protection on .xlsx, .xlsm, .docx and .pptx — is free and runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
The prices below apply only to the optional cloud recovery service, for encrypted (open-password) files that cannot be opened without the password. You are charged only if the password is recovered and only when you choose to reveal it.
Recovery pricing
One flat price for a full recovery: an extended, budget-limited GPU search across large real-password lists, common mutations, and numeric brute-force. It can take up to ~30 minutes, and you are charged only if it finds your password.
The price is shown and charged in GBP. Any applicable VAT is added at checkout.
Pay on success only
If we cannot recover the password within the search budget, you pay nothing. Strong or long passwords often cannot be recovered — that is encryption working as intended, and there is no charge for an unsuccessful attempt.
Privacy
Your document never leaves your device. Your browser sends only the file's encryption fingerprint (a salt-and-verifier hash that cannot reveal the contents); the file is decrypted locally after a successful recovery. See our Privacy Policy.
